Beyond humbled to share I've onboarded as a volunteer Pharmaceutical Industry Coach at Pharmacist Initiative Leaders (PILs), Inc.! I've looked up to mentors Joshua Blackwell, Chinyere Onyirimba, PharmD, MBAc, and Myla Marshall, PharmD, RPh, MBA for quite some time. It's been a joy supporting PILs from the sidelines because of the immense work they've done for student pharmacists, especially students who would've been historically excluded from our profession for their gender identity, race/ethnicity, socioeconomic background, etc. After some love and confidence-boosting from Dr. Marshall, I started the PILs coaching training process this last May and am THRILLED to share that I am a part of a cohort of amazing coaches who are making a difference in soon-to-be graduates' lives the way that my mentors did for me last year. I am immensely grateful to all of the PILs family I have met so far, and I cannot wait to see how our Class of 2025 protégés ROCK this cycle 📈 Here is to growing together #AtEveryStage!!

My first American Health Law Association meeting! ⚖️ Yesterday, I kicked off my conference experience with the Monumental Annual Meeting Networking Reception. Thank you to AHLA staff for being so welcoming to this new Post-Grad!Today's session on the current regulatory frameworks for cannabis, ketamine, and psychedelic therapies was a phenomenal discussion. For qualifying patients, it will be important for pharmaceutical stakeholders (and pharmacists!) to play a role in how these substances are regulated. Thank you to Richard Y. Cheng, JD, CHC and Lisa Gora for educating in this space.Now onto a session over the No Surprises Act, Three Years Out 🙌

This last weekend, my wonderful husband Scott McKeefer and I took our last trip of the season to the Formula One Canada Grand Prix 🏎️ Scott is an avid F1 fan, and the weekend definitely did not disappoint!! Montreal was an amazing city. Next stop for the McKeefers, DCA!

Can we talk about it? The massive mix of emotions that come with PharmD graduation and transitioning to the post-grad life?I had been warned about this transition period, but still, it has been the most wonderfully uncomfortable time 😂 My friends and I are so proud of achieving our dreams... Actually starting them is terrifying!This mix of emotions come from major personal transitions through engagements/weddings, cross-country moves, pregnancy announcements + major professional transitions of onboarding, new training, and licensing (ATTs, please drop ASAP, I'm ready to know when I take my boards!!)Practitioners, how did you handle this transition? Any tips for processing the stress and enjoying the moment?
