Tennessee baseball is fresh off its first national championship in program history, looking to reload in the transfer portal.
Tony Vitello is has had success in the portal in past season, picking up players like Billy Amick and Nate Snead — both who were instrumental in the College World Series run.
The transfer portal closes on July 2. Here's a look at who Tennessee is picking up, and losing, to the portal.

Players committed to Tennessee out of the portal
Liam Doyle — Ole Miss
Liam Doyle and Andrew Fischer were though to be a package deal in the portal, and that held true. Doyle pledged to the Vols soon after Fischer on July 9.
The lefty posted a 3-4 record, 5.73 ERA and 1.25 WHIP last season after joined the Rebels from Coastal Carolina. He was Ole Miss' Saturday starter.
Andrew Fischer — Ole Miss
Andrew Fischer announced his was transferring from Ole Miss to Tennessee on July 9. The star infielder will become an instant contributor for the Vols.
Fischer hit.285 with 20 home runs and 57 RBIs in his sophom*ore season with the Rebels, become the top bat in their lineup.
Eric Rataczak — Niagara
Tennessee landed the commitment of Eric Rataczak on Monday afternoon. The first baseman had a lot of potential suitors in the portal, and he also has several at the MLB level as well. It is too be determined whether Rataczak ends up a Vol or if he will go pro.
His stats jump off the page from his junior season at Niagara. He hit.396 with 17 homers and 71 RBIs, earningMetro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors.The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder only struckout out 25 times in 222 at-bats.
Gavin Kilen — Louisville
Infielder Gavin Kilen committed to Tennessee on July 4. Kilen was one of the highest ranked players in the portal.
He hit.330 with nine home runs and 41 RBIs as a sophom*ore for the Cardinals. He has two years of eligibility remaining and can instantly boost the Vols.
Tanner Franklin — Kennesaw State
Tanner Franklin was the first commitment for Tennessee out of the transfer portal. The local product, graduating from Jefferson County High School, found success at Kennesaw State before entering the transfer portal.
The6-foot-5, 240-pound reliever sits upper 90s with a live arm and a lot of upside for the Vols. He struck out 43 in 27.1 innings last season.
Franklin is currently competiting against some of the top collegiate talent in the Cape Cod League. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Players leaving Tennessee in the portal
Camden Bates
Infielder Camden Bates entered the transfer portal just before the deadline after struggling to climb the depth chart at Tennessee.
Bates picked up two hits in 10 at-bats with a home run.
Robin Villeneuve
Utility man Robin Villeneuve entered the portal on July 1. He mainly played first base and DH for the Vols, but he struggled to climb the depth chart.
The Canada native hit .288 with five home runs in 35 appearances this season. He joined Tennessee from JUCOWeatherford College in Texas.
Bradke Lohry
Middle infielder Bradke Lohry entered the portal on July 1. He struggled to find playing time in a loaded infield after starting on opening day and was more often a defensive substitution on midweek player.

Lohry hit .241 in 27 games after transferring from JUCO College of Central Florida.
Matthew Dallas
Lefty Matthew Dallas entered the portal after struggling to find innings on the mound. The 6-foot-5, 192-pound pitcher showcased flashes of talent in his freshman season at Tennessee, but he struggled against SEC competition.
He finished the season with a 4.76 ERA in 17 innings.
Derek Schaefer
One of the top signees in the 2023 class, pitcher Derek Schaefer struggled to find innings during his freshman season.The 6-foot-2, 206-pound righty had a 9.35 ERA in 8.2 innings of work — mainly working midweek contests.
Wyatt Evans — committed to South Carolina
Lefty Wyatt Evans had a great fall before not seeing any action during the 2024 season. He made 19 appearances as a true freshman before redshirting in 2023 due to injury.
Evans threw 16 innings as a freshman with 19 appearances with a 2.25 ERA.
Daniel Parris
A product of Knoxville Catholic, Parris didn't find any action with Tennessee in 2024.
Zane Denton — committed to Austin Peay
Third baseman Zane Denton wasn't with the Vols in 2024 but entered the transfer portal following the year and committed to Austin Peay.
Denton swung .269 with 16 home runs and led the Vols 59 RBIs during his lone season with the team in 2023.
